Gothic Remake Gets Release Date and New Gameplay Trailer

Alkimia Interactive studio revealed new details about the long-awaited remake of the cult RPG Gothic during the THQ Nordic presentation. The game will be released in early 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. In the latest trailer, the developers focused on the story of the magician Xardas, and also demonstrated the combat system with various types of weapons. Fans can already try out the gameplay in the demo version available for download - it includes the prologue of Niras.

In parallel with the announcement of the remake, THQ Nordic confirmed the release of the classic Gothic trilogy on current consoles. Adapted versions of the first three parts will appear on PlayStation and Xbox in the same 2026. The projects will receive redesigned controls for gamepads and other technical improvements to work correctly on new platforms. In honor of this event, a separate trailer was presented, reminiscent of the legacy of the original series.
