Remedy Admits FBC: Firebreak's Low Sales, Promises Improvements

Despite reaching the million-player mark in the first ten days after release, FBC: Firebreak failed to meet Remedy's commercial expectations. The main contribution to the statistics was provided by PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass subscribers who received access to the game for free, while direct sales, especially on Steam, were disappointing.

In its financial report, the company confirmed that the project did not bring in the expected profit, but the developers intend to continue supporting it. In their opinion, the game has a solid foundation, but requires structural changes based on player feedback. The first major update is planned for September.

In parallel, Remedy continues to work on other projects: the remakes of Max Payne and Control 2 are developing according to schedule, and Alan Wake 2 has begun to bring in a stable income. The studio's overall financial indicators show growth - revenue for the year increased by 63.5%, which indicates a stable position of the company.
