Apple to Revive iPhone 17 Air Bumper Cases After 15 Years
According to insiders, Apple plans to bring back bumper cases, first released for the iPhone 4 in 2010. The new accessory is designed for the expected thin iPhone 17 Air model and will cover only the side edges of the device, leaving the back panel completely open to demonstrate the original design. The design with protruding edges provides protection from scratches when in contact with surfaces, preventing the screen and case from touching the table.

At the same time, the company is preparing to replace the current FineWoven accessory line with a new TechWoven series, photos of which have already appeared online.

The return to the bumper concept 15 years after the "antennagate" scandal demonstrates Apple's desire to combine the functionality of protection with the aesthetics of an open design. It is expected that the new products will be presented as part of the announcement of the iPhone 17 Air, which may become the thinnest smartphone in the line.
