Western publications criticize the quality of the Star Wars Outlaws port for Switch 2

Journalists at PAX West were given the chance to check out the Switch 2 port of Star Wars Outlaws, and the first impressions were extremely negative. The Gamer described the version of the game as a "garbage dump", noting numerous technical issues: low resolution, muddy textures, artifacts on character models, and unstable performance even in simple scenes. Of particular concern is the potential drop in image quality during dynamic scenes, such as when riding a speeder bike.

Despite Ubisoft's promises to include unique controls and additional features in the Switch 2 version, critics doubt that this will compensate for the basic technical shortcomings. The port is scheduled for release on September 4, which leaves minimal time for possible improvements. The situation is reminiscent of previous problematic ports for the hybrid console, such as the Elden Ring version, which was also heavily criticized for its technical execution.
