007 First Light Game Details to Be Revealed This Week

IO Interactive has announced a special PlayStation State of Play episode fully dedicated to the spy action movie 007 First Light. The broadcast will start on September 3 at 21:00 Moscow time and will last over 30 minutes, during which viewers will see the gameplay of the first mission, where players will take on the role of a rookie in the British intelligence agency MI6. According to the studio's senior global communications manager, Yann Roskell, the demonstration will include all the key elements of a spy action game - car chases, stealth mechanics and intense shootouts.

The project, announced back in November 2020, received an official name only this year. The game is set to release in 2026 and will hit all major platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2. While no exact release date has been announced, the upcoming reveal should shed some light on the gameplay and storyline, which will focus on Agent 007's rise to legend. It's the first major reveal of the project since its initial announcement four years ago.
