The study includes two ratings: a general list of leaders across all console generations and a separate top of games that were most popular on the original PlayStation.

The main hit of the entire history of the platform was Grand Theft Auto V, while a significant part of the overall chart was occupied by various parts of Call of Duty. Among PlayStation exclusives, Marvel's Spider-Man rose to the top, taking sixth place in the number of copies sold and eleventh place in total revenue.

Speaking of the first PlayStation, Gran Turismo and Gran Turismo 2 naturally lead its rating. In addition to them, the list included cult franchises of that time: Crash Bandicoot, Tekken, Metal Gear Solid, Tomb Raider, Driver, Resident Evil and Final Fantasy, which formed the gaming face of the late nineties and early 2000s.
