Insiders reported that the remake of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will lose missions in the modern era
French publication Jeux Video Magazine shared rumors about the remake of AC 4: Black Flag, which Ubisoft has not yet officially announced. According to insiders, the developers will completely change the structure of the game and cut the storyline in the present time. Instead of missions for an Abstergo employee, players will have about 4 hours of new content, entirely focused on the pirate theme.

It is reported that the remake is being created on the Assassin's Creed Shadows engine, which will make it possible to create an extensive seamless world of the Caribbean Sea. The game will also return previously cut materials, including the storyline of the pirate Mary Reed. The combat system will become smoother, and some of the content will be borrowed from the long-term Skull and Bones.
The most unusual information is about the expected release in early 2026, especially considering that Ubisoft is still silent and does not confirm the development of a remake.
