McDonald's China unveils Black Myth: Wukong-inspired menu

An unusual collaboration between McDonald's and the developers of Black Myth: Wukong has launched in China. Timed to coincide with the Mid-Autumn Festival, the promotion will run from September 23 to October 21, spanning over 7,000 McDonald's restaurants.



Diners are offered two themed sets, including a choice of burgers, fries, drinks, chicken nuggets, onion rings, and desserts, served in branded packaging featuring the game's logo and artwork. In addition to food, a special set of merchandise is also available: T-shirts, bucket hats, figurines, keychains, and even a themed robe. Some restaurants have also redesigned their dining rooms to match the action game's atmosphere.



Judging by reviews, the collaboration has been extremely successful: most sets have already sold out, and even resellers have expressed interest in the exclusive merchandise. Released in August 2024 on PC and PlayStation 5, and later on Xbox Series, Black Myth: Wukong continues to command attention, maintaining its status as one of the biggest hits of recent years and boasting a record-breaking online player base of over 2.4 million on Steam.
