Kojima unveiled the poster and first cast for the spy action game Physint.

Hideo Kojima, while simultaneously busy with the horror film OD, continues to develop his new spy project, Physint. During the Beyond the Strand stream, the Metal Gear creator revealed a poster for the upcoming thriller, which immediately reminded fans of the style of classic Konami stealth action games.

At the same time, the first actors joining the game were announced. The cast includes Charlie Fraser, who recently starred in Furiosa; Japanese actress Minami Hamabe, familiar to viewers from Godzilla: Minus One; and Korean star Ma Dong-seok, known for his work on Train to Busan. A lead actor has yet to be chosen, as the SAG-AFTRA strike has frozen negotiations, and so the main character's face is obscured in the promotional image. Fans are already speculating that the silhouette resembles Eddie Redmayne, who starred in Fantastic Beasts.

The project is being developed using an updated version of the Decima engine, previously used in the Death Stranding duology. As a demonstration of the technology, the team showed off a scan of Minami Hamabe's face. The release date and platforms for Physint remain under wraps, but it's already clear that the game will be a hybrid of video game and cinema, something Kojima places particular emphasis on.
