Steven Ogg admitted he was indifferent to GTA VI and advised fans to read Dostoevsky instead of games.

The Canadian actor, widely recognized for his role as Trevor Philips in GTA V, was unexpectedly cool about the long-awaited GTA VI. Despite the project being called the biggest launch in the industry's history, the actor admitted he was unemotional about the game's release, as he isn't a gamer himself and has never played any video game, including the one that brought him worldwide fame.

During a conversation with blogger HarrisonShippp, he noted that he prefers books to virtual entertainment, and even suggested picking up Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment instead of waiting for GTA VI. He argued that reading classics can be far more rewarding than immersing oneself in digital worlds.

Interestingly, earlier in January, Ogg did entertain the possibility of his character appearing in the new installment of the franchise, albeit ironically, stating that he wouldn't mind a cameo role for the sake of Trevor's dramatic death at the very beginning of the story.

GTA VI is scheduled to release on May 26, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and S.
