A fan showed what a Russian GTA could look like by creating a video using neural networks.
Reddit user Vegetable_Writer_443, who previously imagined Assassin's Creed "gameplay" using artificial intelligence set in the Russian Empire and New York City, has released a new video, this time inspired by GTA. The enthusiast attempted to demonstrate how the iconic series would look in a Russian setting.
In the video, the protagonist cruises through the snowy streets of a remote town, emerging against a backdrop of shabby high-rise buildings and sporting a Kalashnikov assault rifle. Despite the recognizable GTA mechanics, AI artifacts are noticeable in the image, and the atmosphere is reminiscent of Watch Dogs or The Division.
The post garnered several hundred upvotes, but many users praised the author's efforts and expressed interest in the idea of a "Russian GTA." Meanwhile, official news about the series centers on the release of GTA 6, scheduled for May 26, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version will be released later.
