Konami has confirmed work on Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2.
Following the release of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 in the fall of 2023, despite some technical issues, fans warmly welcomed the remaster. Konami, as expected, has decided to continue the collection series, and the company has now officially confirmed that a second anthology is in production.

During the Metal Gear Production Hotline stream at Tokyo Game Show 2025, producer Noriaki Okamura acknowledged that there has been no news for a while, but assured that the team is working on Vol. 2 alongside Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. He apologized for the delay and noted that the developers are working on something noteworthy, but it's too early to share details.
Fans have speculated that the next collection will include Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, as well as possible spin-offs such as Ghost Babel, Portable Ops, and the Metal Gear Ac!d duology. However, in recent surveys, the publisher only mentioned the main chapters of the franchise, so the composition of the collection remains a secret for now.
