EA Releases Star-Studded Satirical Battlefield 6 Trailer

Electronic Arts and DICE unveiled a new Battlefield 6 commercial, playing on Activision's long-standing tradition of using celebrities to promote Call of Duty. The trailer features actor Zac Efron, basketball player Jimmy Butler, musician Morgan Wallen, and MMA fighter Paddy Pimblett on the battlefield. But their "heroic" appearance is brief—25 seconds later, the group is wiped out by a stray rocket.

Afterward, the spotlight shifts to the ordinary soldiers, who become the true heroes of the battle. Their battle is accompanied by the Smashing Pumpkins' "Bullet with Butterfly Wings," a choice many fans found both symbolic and witty.

Battlefield 6 will be available on October 10th on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
