Battlefield 6 Season 1 Launches in October with New Maps and Weapons
EA and Battlefield Studios unveiled the debut season of Battlefield 6, which kicks off on October 28th—eighteen days after the shooter's release. The developers have prepared a vast array of content for fans, including new maps, modes, vehicles, and arsenal.

The season will launch in three phases. On the first day, players will have access to the Blackwell Fields location, Strikepoint mode, the Traverser Mark 2 vehicle, the SOR-300SC carbine, the GGH-22 pistol, and the Mini Scout rifle. On November 18th, players will have access to the Eastwood location, Sabotage mode, the Battle Pickups mechanic returning from Battlefield 4 with powerful weaponry, the DB-12 shotgun, and the M357 Trait revolver. The final part of the update will be released on December 9th, bringing a winter version of the Empire State map, Ice Lock mode, and the Ice Pick for close-quarter combat.
Rumor has it that EA and Battlefield Studios may release a free-to-play battle royale game, currently being actively tested in Battlefield Labs, on the same day as Season 1 begins. There has been no official confirmation of this information yet.
The game is scheduled for release on October 10th on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
