Minecraft will team up with Dragon Ball Z in a major DLC

At the Minecraft Live 2025 presentation, Mojang officially announced a crossover with the iconic anime Dragon Ball Z. A major expansion is being developed for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, bringing familiar characters and artifacts from the legendary franchise to a cube-based world.

The teaser showed seven Dragon Balls in a distinctive blocky style. Combining them triggers the appearance of Shenron, triggering the player's transformation into Goku with his recognizable orange suit. Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan will also appear in the game. The DLC will not only add characters but also new quests with collectibles directly inspired by the Dragon Ball Z universe.

The exact release date for the expansion has not yet been announced.
