Warner Bros. has revealed the release date of "A Minecraft Movie 2" and unveiled the first poster for the upcoming hit.

Warner Bros. has officially announced the release date for the sequel to the film adaptation of the cult sandbox game Minecraft. "A Minecraft Movie 2" is scheduled to premiere on July 23, 2027. Simultaneously, the publisher unveiled the project's debut poster, which features a construction table with two intersecting pickaxes, designed in the game's signature cube-shaped style.

The first film, released in April 2025, proved to be one of the year's biggest successes, grossing over $950 million worldwide and cementing its place as the third-highest-grossing release of 2025. Following this success, discussions about a sequel began almost immediately, although official confirmation was delayed for a long time.

According to unconfirmed reports, Jack Black will return to the role of Steve in the second film. He starred alongside Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks, Emma Myers, and Jennifer Coolidge in the original film, but their participation in the sequel remains in question.
