Valve has changed the bomb defusing mechanics in CS2 – you can no longer shoot.

Valve has released a major update for Counter-Strike 2, currently only available in the beta version of the game. No release date has been announced for the main client. In the new update, the developers have adapted the engine code for the latest version of Source 2, improved bullet penetration simulation, and optimized CPU usage, which should improve performance.

Valve has changed the bomb defusing mechanics in CS2 – you can no longer shoot.

The main change is a reworked bomb defusing system: now, while defusing, the weapon automatically lowers, aiming becomes unavailable, and after the action is interrupted, firing is only possible after 150 milliseconds. Valve has also made interface improvements, adjusted a number of gameplay elements, and fixed bugs. The full list of changes is available on the developers' page.
