Battlefield 6 has received a trailer for its first season, scheduled to launch on October 28

EA and Battlefield Studios unveiled a trailer for the debut season of Battlefield 6, which begins on October 28, just eighteen days after the shooter's release. The developers plan to release updates in stages, adding new maps, weapons, vehicles, and game modes.

At launch, players will have access to the Blackwell Fields location, Strikepoint mode, the Traverser Mark 2 combat vehicle, the SOR-300SC carbine, the GGH-22 pistol, and the Mini Scout sniper rifle. Content will be expanded over time—in particular, insiders claim that a free-to-play battle royale will launch alongside the season. According to blogger ModernWarzone, it will be unveiled on October 27 and will launch immediately, similar to what Activision did with Call of Duty: Warzone.

Since its October 10th release, Battlefield 6 has sold over 7 million copies across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. On November 18th, the shooter will receive a new update featuring the Eastwood map, Sabotage mode, the Battle Pickups system that brings powerful weapons back from the battlefield, and the DB-12 shotgun and M357 Trait revolver.

The third major update is scheduled for December 9th, adding a winter version of the Empire State map, Ice Lock mode, and an ice pick usable as a melee weapon. While the developers haven't officially confirmed the launch of the battle royale, the community is confident an announcement is just around the corner.
