PS Portal has received a major update and has become a cloud console
The PS Portal portable console, which sparked controversy and much ridicule at its launch, has received a major update that significantly expands its capabilities. The device can now function as a full-fledged cloud console, without requiring a PlayStation 5 connection.

After the update, users can launch games directly from the cloud with a PS Plus Premium subscription and a stable, high-speed internet connection. However, the device's usability remains limited due to its connection quality.
In addition to this new feature, the update also brings other improvements: a redesigned home screen, added support for surround sound, the ability to set a password, and a network stability test option. Details of the update are available on the official PlayStation blog.
