The Sims 4 competitor was delayed just weeks before its release
The life-simulation game Paralives, which many have called The Sims 4's main future rival, will not be released in December 2025 as planned. The project team unexpectedly announced the delay, acknowledging that the title would not be released on schedule.
The developers stated that they needed more time to bring the project to a level they considered acceptable for release. They explained that they had been conducting regular playtests with friends and long-time fans for a year, and for a long time, it seemed that the team would have Paralives ready for Early Access. However, after expanding the pool of testers and engaging a more diverse audience, it became clear that the game's state was significantly lagging behind internal quality standards.

The developers admitted that the decision to delay was difficult, especially since it was made so close to the finish line. However, they are confident that the pause will allow them to improve key elements and make the release more successful for both players and the project itself. The team has not yet announced a new release date.
