Ratchet & Clank are back, but on mobile — Sony unveiled Ranger Rumble

Fans of the Ratchet & Clank series who have been awaiting a continuation of the classic adventures from Insomniac Games will have to be patient once again. Sony has unveiled a new project in the franchise, this time focused on mobile devices and significantly different from the usual platform games.

The company announced Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, a multiplayer action game for iOS and Android smartphones. It is being developed by the French studio Oh BiBi, known for its mobile games. The game's events are explained within the franchise as a training simulation created by Captain Qwark, allowing it to bypass the main storyline and focus on competitive gameplay.

Players will be able to choose from several modes. In Total Rumble, participants compete against each other, aiming to eliminate as many opponents as possible. Blast Ball uses soccer mechanics where players score goals, and Bolt Rush has players competing to collect the most bolts. This range of modes makes the mobile game focused on quick matches and dynamic clashes.

The exact release date for Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble has not yet been announced, but the developers have already opened pre-registration, allowing everyone to join the upcoming release early.
