Microsoft unveiled Xbox gaming Crocs in a new brand collaboration
Xbox's position has weakened significantly in recent years, but Microsoft continues to demonstrate confidence and seek innovative ways to attract attention to its gaming brand. One such move was an unexpected collaboration with Crocs, in which the companies created a signature shoe designed in the traditional black and green Xbox color scheme.
The new pair, dubbed the Xbox Classic Clog, features decorative elements inspired by game controllers: the surface features analog thumbsticks, XYAB buttons, and the recognizable X logo. The concept immediately became a source of humor online. Users vied with each other to joke about the oddity of the idea, suggesting changing the name to XCrocs, and mocking the new shoes' connection to the previously launched "This is Xbox" advertising campaign.
Nevertheless, the shoe's release took place on time. The Crocs, inspired by the aesthetics of the legendary console line, will go on sale on November 25th. The price per pair is $80.
