Fans have recreated the GTA 6 map, which is more than twice the size of the GTA 5 world

A group of enthusiasts has unveiled an updated fan map for Grand Theft Auto 6, based on verified leaks and official materials. According to their calculations, the scale of the upcoming open world will be more than twice that of GTA 5. Vice City itself, which will serve as the central location, is also approximately twice the size of Los Santos and noticeably more densely populated with objects and activities.

The exact dimensions of the game's space are currently being kept under wraps, but intriguing details have previously been discovered in official images. References to the world's structure were spotted on the action game's first poster and on a car decal from the debut trailer. These landmarks, along with extensive leaks from 2022, which have been deemed authentic, formed the basis for this fan reconstruction.

Additional evidence supporting the map's authenticity is the publisher's response. Take-Two demanded the removal of a mod in which the Vice City Mapping Project team attempted to port an early version of a fan-made GTA 6 map to GTA 5. This indirectly indicates the mod's similarity to real-world development.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026. The release date had previously been pushed back twice: first from fall 2025 to May 2026, and then to November. Insider Jason Schreier insisted that the delay was not related to layoffs within Rockstar's divisions, although such personnel changes could impact production and schedules in the future.

The developers released their last major piece of information about GTA 6 back in May 2025, immediately after the first delay. Then, a second trailer was released, revealing new information about characters, locations, and key elements of the game.
