Escape from Tarkov's best ending has been achieved for the first time – a feat that has led to suspicions of foul play

On December 4, a user with the nickname NeverPlayScav completed the story campaign, unlocking the best possible ending, in which the escape is made for the sake of humanity. The developers had previously described this option as the most difficult. The achievement didn't go unnoticed—it was even recognized by Nikita Buyanov, one of the shooter's creators. However, the joy was short-lived: some players questioned the fairness of this achievement.

NeverPlayScav's statistics caught the attention of fans. The account demonstrated a 93% raid success rate, a kill-to-death ratio of 83.3, and nearly 1,750 kills, including both players and AI opponents. This was complemented by an impressive playtime—over 10,600 hours, equivalent to over 441 days of continuous play. These figures struck many as suspicious, leading to accusations of cheating against the gamer, and Buyanov himself was accused of encouraging dishonest players.

However, the controversy quickly expanded beyond accusations. Some in the community came to NeverPlayScav's defense, pointing out that he's long been a well-known figure in Escape from Tarkov fandom, has won numerous tournaments, and has a reputation as an experienced and honest player. For some, his success sparked controversy, while for others, it was proof that even the most difficult path in Tarkov is surmountable.
