Hollow Knight: Silksong is getting a free story expansion

The long-awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong, released this year after a long wait, continues to delight the community. Developers Team Cherry announced that the game will receive a full-fledged story expansion, available at no cost.

On the official website, the studio shared the results of the release: Silksong has sold over seven million copies, and several million more players have discovered the Metroidvania thanks to Game Pass. The developers admitted that such a strong response and interest from the audience came as a surprise.

In response to the community's support, Team Cherry is developing an expansion called Sea of ​​Sorrow. It will feature a nautical theme and offer a new adventure with additional locations, enemies, bosses, and gameplay tools. The expansion is scheduled for release next year and will be free.

Details about the DLC's contents are still limited, but the developers have promised to begin sharing information closer to its release.
