An insider has revealed new details about Call of Duty 2027

Fresh rumors about the future of Call of Duty have surfaced online, this time concerning a 2027 release. The information was shared by trusted insider TheGhostOfHope, who has repeatedly confirmed his knowledge of the series' plans. According to him, the game is being developed by Sledgehammer Games, and the project itself will mark the beginning of a new storyline unrelated to either Modern Warfare or Black Ops.

The narrative will reportedly center on entirely new characters, and the action will take place in the late 1990s or early 2000s. This era-specific setting should significantly differentiate the game from recent installments in the franchise and give it its own identity. The developers will allegedly retain the omni-move system but will ditch the tactical sprint, making the gameplay less cluttered.

The studio is also discussing the return of the Pick 10 system, familiar to fans of classic Call of Duty games. It's still unknown whether this decision will be finalized, but the idea itself is being actively considered. Zombies mode, according to current information, is not planned for the project, but the Get High mode is expected to return, although its format and scope remain uncertain.

There have been no official comments from Activision or Sledgehammer Games at this time, so all information remains at the level of insider leaks and is subject to change as the announcement approaches.
