Rematch Season 2 will add 1v1 duels, new arenas, and important changes
Sloclap Studios has revealed details of the second season of the football game Rematch, which will bring a number of significant changes and fresh content. The key new feature will be the one-on-one mode, scheduled to launch in January.
Preparations for its launch have already begun: the developers have improved goalkeeper animations and reworked the movement and dribbling systems, making on-pitch controls smoother and more responsive. Season 2 will also introduce two new virtual arenas—Clouds VR and Dragon Bay VR.

The progression system has also been updated. Battle Pass progression is now faster due to a reduction in the experience cost per token. The team is also considering the introduction of daily and weekly challenges, but a final decision on these has not yet been made.
A 1v1 mode, as a limited-time event, will be added with the eighth update at the end of January and will be available in custom matches. Sloclap plans to release free Discord-themed cosmetic items and special trophies for the winners of community events commemorating the ninth update.
Rematch has also introduced penalties for leaving matches early: violators will be temporarily banned from matchmaking for three minutes.
