Insiders: Halo Studios is preparing remakes of the entire classic Halo trilogy
New information has surfaced online about Halo Studios' plans to reimagine the original Halo games. According to several sources, the studio is working on updated versions of Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3, which could be released as a single project.
The information was shared by blogger Rebs Gaming, citing both trusted insiders and a former Halo Studios employee. The first hints of such plans appeared back in late October, immediately after the announcement of Halo Campaign Evolved—a remake of the first game using Unreal Engine 5. At the time, it was also stated that the update would not be limited to a single game, and that sequels were in development.

The studio was reportedly dissatisfied with the quality of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and intends to address the mistakes made earlier. Halo Studios is developing the remakes itself, with support from external teams. The studio plans to leave the multiplayer mode alone, focusing exclusively on the story campaigns.
Further confirmation of the rumors came from a former developer at the studio, who confirmed such plans but declined to disclose details due to confidentiality obligations. According to sources, the focus on classics is linked to Microsoft's strategy: the company prefers to mitigate risks and avoid a repeat of Halo Infinite's problems by separating campaigns and multiplayer into separate projects.
There have been no official announcements of Halo 2 and Halo 3 remakes yet, and all information remains leaked.
