Insider: Call of Duty is almost ready for release on Switch 2
The Call of Duty series is preparing to return to Nintendo consoles after a long hiatus. The shooter was last released on the company's platforms during the Wii U era, but circumstances changed after Microsoft committed to the acquisition of Activision.

According to inside information from Jez Corden, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of CoD is already in the final stages of development. The announcement and release were delayed because Microsoft received devkits for the new console later than other major publishers, but this issue has now been resolved.
The release is expected in the coming months, presumably in the spring. It is currently unclear which installment in the franchise will debut on Switch 2. It's possible that Microsoft will start with earlier titles to test the platform, although fans are hoping to see Black Ops 7. The Nintendo console versions should retain all the key modes and features available on Xbox and PlayStation.
