The main antagonist of Stranger Things will appear in Dead by Daylight

Crossovers in the gaming industry continue to gain momentum, and this time the Stranger Things universe will once again intersect with Dead by Daylight. The developers announced a major expansion, Stranger Things: Chapter 2, which will expand the character roster and introduce one of the show's most memorable villains.

The new DLC will introduce three playable characters. Eleven and Dustin join the ranks of the survivors, each with their own unique traits and playstyle. Vecna, the central antagonist of the show's final seasons, makes his debut on the side of the killers. His abilities are based on the use of the Upside Down: he can quickly move around the map, distort the space around him, and attack enemies with aggressive vines, making hunting more varied and dangerous.

The expansion is now available in public testing, and the full release is scheduled for January 27th. The return of Stranger Things to Dead by Daylight coincides with a significant milestone for the game itself: in 2026, the asymmetrical horror game will celebrate its tenth anniversary. Behaviour Interactive has already confirmed the development of a collector's edition and extensive holiday events, while a significant portion of 2025 will be devoted to technical improvements and balancing.
