The internet hints at imminent announcements of remakes of Assassin's Creed IV and Prince of Persia.

The gaming community has noticed strange changes related to the official websites for the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag remakes. Users have noticed domain updates in several regions, as well as repeated changes in their status between active and inactive, which typically precedes important announcements.

Amid this activity, fans have concluded that Ubisoft may soon reveal new details about the projects. It is expected that news could appear as early as January 18, 2026, further increasing anticipation for official comments from the publisher.

Previously, insider Tom Henderson reported that the release of the remastered version of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is scheduled for January 16, 2026. Previously, Ubisoft itself had indicated a longer release date in one of its quarterly reports—no later than March 31 of that year. As a reminder, the remake was announced back in 2020, after which it was repeatedly delayed, and then development was completely restarted.

As for Assassin's Creed IV, the remake has not yet been officially unveiled, but dataminers have already discovered its working title: Resynced. According to Insider Gaming, the updated version of Black Flag is expected to release in late March 2026.
