Civilization VII will be coming to iPhone, iPad, and Mac with launch restrictions

2K Games and Firaxis Games announced the release date of the strategy game on Apple devices: on February 5th, the title will be available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac as part of the Apple Arcade platform under the name Civilization 7: Arcade Edition. The download size will be 3.5 GB, and the localization will include Russian subtitles.

The Apple ecosystem version is adapted for various control methods. Mobile devices emphasize the touch interface, while mice and gamepads are supported on both iOS and macOS. However, technical limitations remain: large, spacious maps will only appear on devices with more than 8 GB of RAM.

The release will not be in its full format. At launch, the game will lack multiplayer and DLC already released on other platforms. Furthermore, updates that will appear on PC and consoles after release may be delayed or not released at all in the Apple version.
