The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has long been considered the benchmark for open-world story-driven RPGs, but some players have always wondered what it would be like to explore the Continent with friends. Now, the community has an answer.

An enthusiast by the name of rejuvenate has unveiled a Witcher Online mod that adds a full-fledged co-op mode to the game. With it, players can play through the main story campaign together, team up to hunt monsters, or simply spend time in the game world, visiting taverns and exploring locations side by side. The mod focuses not only on co-op action but also on social interaction.

To facilitate communication, the developer has implemented a built-in text chat, as well as special statuses that appear above characters during menu navigation and other actions. This simplifies coordination and makes co-op play more visual and lively.

Witcher Online is available for free and is already available on the Nexus Mods portal. For it to work correctly, you must have the latest version of the licensed edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
