The first details of GTA VI multiplayer emerged during the trial of former employees

Rockstar Games' legal dispute with former developers has unexpectedly lifted the curtain on one of GTA VI's most closely guarded secrets. Although the current hearings focused solely on a temporary demand for payment resumption, the case materials revealed information of particular interest to gamers.

The company announced that it had fired a group of employees involved in Discord communities and union activism due to serious violations of internal rules. The complaints included insults to management and the dissemination of confidential data. However, the judge noted that the main body of evidence, exceeding two thousand pages, had not yet been reviewed.

The most significant incident for the audience was the leak of an unannounced GTA VI feature. According to Rockstar, two employees disclosed details of an online mode designed for up to 32 simultaneous players as part of the updated GTA Online. This was the first concrete confirmation of the scale of the new game's multiplayer.

The fired game designers insist the information became apparent accidentally during testing disrupted by team furloughs. The dispute also touched on the analysis of work messages and accusations of unauthorized access to union correspondence, which could play a role in the next stages of the process.
