ASUS is officially leaving the smartphone market and focusing on PCs and AI
ASUS has made the final decision to discontinue smartphone production. According to IT Home, this information was officially confirmed by the chairman of the board of directors during a corporate event in Taiwan. Rumors of the end of the mobile business had been circulating since early January, but now they have been directly confirmed by the manufacturer's management.
The discontinuation of new model development is due to a strategic review and resource reallocation. ASUS wants to focus on higher-priority and more promising segments, including the personal computer market, gaming devices, artificial intelligence servers, and other AI-focused products. At the same time, the company emphasized that it will not abandon existing users and will continue to service existing smartphones.

Over the years, ASUS has developed two main product lines in the mobile market: Zenfone and ROG Phone. The latter particularly stood out among gaming devices thanks to its powerful hardware, advanced cooling systems, and features geared toward mobile esports.
