OpenAI launches ChatGPT Go, a paid, ad-supported subscription service
The company announced a new pricing plan for the US and other countries where the platform is present. For a monthly fee of $8, users will have access to an expanded message limit, image generation, file uploads, and a memory function for saving conversation context. At the same time, the free version of ChatGPT and the new Go plan will feature ads integrated directly into the chatbot's message flow.

Testing of the advertising model will begin soon, exclusively in the United States. OpenAI representatives emphasize that ads do not influence the AI's responses, all conversations are confidential, and users retain control over personalization settings. The developers plan to gradually develop advertising formats based on community feedback, striving to balance monetization with maintaining the technology's accessibility for the general public.
Existing Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscriptions will remain ad-free, preserving the premium user experience.
