ASUS has denied rumors of shutting down its mobile division
The company has officially commented on rumors of a complete exit from the smartphone market. Company representatives confirmed that they do not plan to release new mobile device models in 2026, but the mobile division will continue to operate. Its primary responsibilities will be technical support for devices already sold, software updates, and monitoring mobile market trends for a possible return.

According to the analytical publication Digitimes, this reallocation of resources will allow ASUS to focus on more promising technological areas. In particular, the company plans to intensify development in wearable electronics, including smart glasses with AI integration and other innovative devices. This strategic decision reflects a global trend among technology companies to optimize their product portfolios in the highly competitive smartphone market.
The temporary suspension of new smartphone releases does not mean a complete exit from the market – ASUS is maintaining its infrastructure to support existing users and leaving the door open for resuming production should market conditions change.
