Square Enix announced Life is Strange: Reunion, featuring the return of Max and Chloe

Square Enix and Deck Nine have officially unveiled the new installment of the interactive drama Life is Strange: Reunion, with the debut trailer released on YouTube. A key feature of the project will be the long-awaited reunion of the franchise's iconic heroines, Max Caulfield and Chloe Price, who first appeared in the original 2015 game. The storyline will focus on their joint efforts to save Caledon University from a devastating fire, as well as exploring complex interpersonal relationships, compounded by the universe's supernatural elements.

The gameplay mechanics will undergo significant changes—for the first time in the series, players will be able to switch relatively freely between the two protagonists during gameplay. Max will retain her ability to control time, while Chloe will utilize persuasion skills similar to those showcased in the prequel, Before the Storm. This will create a new level of strategic planning and narrative depth for the series.

The project will be released in four different editions: a standard version for $40, an expanded Deluxe Edition for $50, a Twin Pack including Life is Strange: Double Exposure for $60, and a Collector's Edition with physical merchandise for $100. The release is scheduled for March 26 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, continuing the franchise's tradition of spring releases.
