Developers at Sloclap Studio announced a temporary update for the football arcade game Rematch, which will add a one-on-one mode. According to the released trailer, the new gameplay option will become available on January 28th, but will be limited in duration—the studio has not yet made a final decision on permanently adding this format. The developers previously expanded the project's gameplay capabilities by adding 3v3 ranked matches.

This update is an attempt to revive interest in the game, which was initially positioned as a potential competitor to traditional football simulators like FIFA. Despite initial ambitions and positive critical reception, the project has encountered challenges maintaining a stable online community.
