Counter-Strike 2 has released a major patch with balance changes and changes to the Anubis map
Valve has released a significant update for CS2, which is now available to all players. Season 4 of the Premier mode has officially launched, and with it, the developers have made a number of adjustments to weapon balance, movement mechanics, and the current set of locations.
A fundamental change to the competitive pool was map rotation. Train left Premier, making way for Anubis, which received several targeted adjustments and improvements. Concurrently, Valve overhauled the economy: the price of the MP7, MP5-SD, and PP-Bizon was reduced by $100, while the damage of the first two weapons was slightly increased and the penalties to falloff at range were reduced.

The update also affected unit movement. Landing timing for jumps has been improved, and the jumps themselves no longer affect stamina. Additionally, the sound effects for equipment, including the unequipping of weapons, knives, and utility items, were reworked, and knife attacks now have separate sound effects. New user-created maps, Warden, Stronghold Alpine, Sanctum, and Poseidon, have been added to the shooter, while Golden, Palacio, Agency, and Rooftop have been completely removed from all modes.
