New Resident Evil Requiem gameplay footage in 4K featuring Leon and Grace has surfaced online
In late January, industry journalists and popular bloggers published a preview of Resident Evil Requiem, followed by high-definition footage of the new gameplay. The videos showcase individual scenes from the two title characters, Leon Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft. The main action takes place in the gloomy confines of a hospital, where each character faces aggressive monsters in their own unique way. Among the enemies, a formidable boss was shown – a massive, terrifying creature that attacks both Leon and Grace.
The plot of the ninth installment returns the story to its roots. Leon, a long-time bioweapons fighter, finds himself back in Raccoon City, where he joins forces with FBI agent Grace Ashcroft, the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft from Resident Evil Outbreak. The central antagonist, according to available information, will be the enigmatic Victor Gideon.

Insider Dusk Golem claims that Resident Evil Requiem is conceived as a major reboot of the series. The game is intended to bring an end to the global story arc involving viruses, the Umbrella Corporation, and the destruction of Raccoon City, changing Capcom's approach to future releases. The title is scheduled for release on February 27th of this year on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
