The Samsung Galaxy A57 appeared in official renders before its announcement
The unannounced Samsung Galaxy A57 smartphone has appeared in the Chinese regulatory body TENAA, confirming its imminent release. Along with the certification, the first official images of the device have surfaced online, along with some key specifications that offer a glimpse into the company's upcoming mid-range smartphone.
Judging by the renders, the Galaxy A57 retains the series' recognizable design, with a vertically arranged camera cluster and the signature bump housing the power and volume buttons. The frame appears to be metal, visually bringing the model closer to more expensive devices. The reduced thickness of the case is also notable: according to TENAA and insider sources, it could be around 6.9 mm, comparable to future Galaxy S series flagships.
The hardware also appears solid for its class. The device is rumored to feature an Exynos 1680 processor, up to 12 GB of RAM, and up to 256 GB of storage. The display is a 6.6-inch AMOLED with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Battery life is provided by a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
The Galaxy A57's appearance in the regulator's database indicates that preparations for its release are complete. Considering the Galaxy A56 was unveiled last March, the announcement of the new model is expected in the coming weeks.
