Monster Hunter Wilds on PC finally gets rid of its performance issues
Since its release, the PC version of Monster Hunter Wilds has been regularly criticized for poor optimization and unstable performance. Capcom has been releasing fixes for nearly a year, but a significant improvement has only been seen now with the release of a major technical patch.
The update addressed key performance issues. The developers reworked the high-resolution texture set, changed the texture streaming system, and optimized the shader preparation process. These measures reduced the load on both graphics cards and processors, which previously caused players to experience sharp frame rate drops and unstable frame rates.

Furthermore, additional settings have been added to the game's settings, allowing for more flexible graphics tuning for specific hardware. The PC gaming community has received the patch extremely positively: many noted a noticeable performance boost, the ability to run the game on low-end systems, and even a comfortable experience on Steam Deck. Owners of mid-range graphics cards also reported that they can now play at high and ultra settings without any complex adjustments.
At the same time, Capcom acknowledged a long-standing bug that caused frame rates to drop at base without purchased DLC. This bug was deemed random and, according to the studio, has been completely fixed in a new update.
