Starfield could be coming to PlayStation 5 this spring.

According to new information, the long-awaited PlayStation 5 port of the space RPG Starfield is getting ready for release. The Polish publication PPE, citing its sources in retail chains, reports a specific release date of April 7th of this year. This information is indirectly confirmed by earlier reports from the reputable gaming portal MP1st, which also predicted a spring launch for the project on Sony's platform.

According to reports, the game's PS5 release may coincide with a major content update. The port is expected to launch alongside the second major expansion, rumored to be titled "Terran Armada," as well as a major update for the base game. Bethesda Game Studios, the developer of Starfield, has not yet officially confirmed this date.

The game was originally scheduled for release in September 2023 and received mixed reviews from both critics and players. Following the release of the first Shattered Space expansion in 2024, interest in the project among the Steam audience declined significantly, which was reflected in consistently low daily online figures.
