Four miHoYo employees convicted of corruption in Genshin Impact development
miHoYo, the developer of Genshin Impact, has completed an internal investigation that resulted in serious criminal consequences for its employees. As a result of the investigation, four studio employees were convicted and sentenced to prison terms for abuse of office.
According to the company's official statement, the defendants extorted commissions and took bribes from external partners. Court sentences range from six months to eighteen months in prison. miHoYo emphasized its zero-tolerance policy for such actions.

All employees found guilty of fraud or corruption are immediately dismissed and cannot return to the company. Furthermore, as a strict measure, miHoYo blacklisted 24 partner companies that, according to the investigation, were involved in corruption schemes.
