French developers Clair Obscur received a state order
Sandfall Interactive, the studio behind the RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has received a prestigious government award. The French Ministry of Culture has awarded key members of the team the title of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.

This award marks official recognition by the French government that video games are a fully-fledged art form and that the video game industry is a significant economic sector. The award highlights not only the project's creative but also its cultural contribution.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was released in April 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. Even before its release, the game attracted attention thanks to its star-studded cast, including Charlie Cox, known for his work on Daredevil, and Andy Serkis, known for his work on The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
