An insider revealed the duration and gameplay features of Resident Evil Requiem

Insider Dusk Golem has shared new details regarding the upcoming horror game Resident Evil Requiem. According to him, the game's reportedly fixed length of 15 hours is incorrect. His sources say the new game will be longer than Resident Evil Village, but somewhat shorter than the recent remake of Resident Evil 4. Project director Koshi Nakanishi also notes that it's difficult to accurately measure the running time, and players will experience the series' usual dense content.

One of the game's key features will be a system of indirect interaction between the two protagonists, Leon Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft. Capcom developers have abandoned the idea of directly transferring items through crates to maintain the sense of isolation between each character. Instead, the actions of one character will impact the other's world: for example, players will be able to find resources left behind by their partner or face the consequences of their decisions in the form of new threats.

In addition to the main story, the game will feature extensive post-game modes aimed at increasing replayability. It has also been confirmed that the demo version available to the press takes place in a sanatorium, while the full game will also include locations in the most devastated Raccoon City, featuring classic creatures from the series. Review copies have already been sent out, and publication is scheduled for approximately February 24th, three days before the official release on PC and consoles, including the Nintendo Switch 2.
