Hazelight Studios has begun developing a new co-op project

Hazelight Studios Creative Director Youssef Fares posted a photo on social media indicating the start of development on the studio's next game. The image was taken during a motion capture session, indicating that the new project is in active production.

The photo, with the actors' faces obscured, suggests the presence of three characters, sparking fan theories about a possible three-way co-op mode. However, the exact number of playable characters and other details have not yet been revealed. Fares previously mentioned in an interview with the Friends Per Second podcast that pre-production work on the game began as early as February 2025, before the studio's last release.

Hazelight Studios' previous game, Split Fiction, was released in March 2025 to widespread acclaim from both critics and players. By May 2025, its sales had exceeded four million copies.
