Analysts have named the brands with the largest number of active smartphones in the world
Counterpoint Research has published a ranking of mobile device manufacturers based on the number of devices in use. According to the study, Apple and Samsung are the clear leaders in the number of active smartphones, with their devices surpassing one billion units. The combined market share of these two companies represents 44 percent of all smartphones in use worldwide.

The ranking also includes other manufacturers that have managed to grow their user base to more than 200 million active devices, including Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, Transsion, HUAWEI, and Honor. Motorola, realme, and Google, while not reaching the milestone, were also noted by experts as significant players with impressive user bases.
In their report, Counterpoint Research noted that the total number of active smartphones worldwide by the end of 2025 will increase by two percent compared to the previous year. In the premium segment, where the retail price of devices exceeds six hundred dollars, Apple and Samsung continue to hold dominant positions.
