Death Stranding 2 system requirements revealed: 4K requires RTX 4080
Kojima Productions and Nixxes Software, the studios responsible for the port, have announced the system requirements for the PC version of the long-awaited sequel. The game, which launched on PlayStation 5 back in June last year, will arrive on personal computers on March 19. The creators have prepared four performance profiles designed to suit different tastes and budgets.

The minimum requirements are surprisingly reasonable. To run the game at 1080p resolution at 30 FPS on low settings, an Intel Core i3-10100 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100 chip, along with a GeForce GTX 1660 or Radeon RX 5500 XT graphics card, is sufficient. In all cases, 16 GB of RAM and 150 GB of free space on a solid-state drive are required; installation on a hard drive is not possible.
For comfortable 1080p gameplay at 60 FPS on medium settings, you'll need an Intel Core i5-11400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600 GPU and an RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600-class GPU. Recommended requirements for 1440p resolution include a Core i7-11700 or Ryzen 7 5700X paired with an RTX 3070 or RX 6800.
The real test awaits 4K monitor owners: for a stable 60 FPS on high settings, you'll need at least an RTX 4080 or Radeon RX 9070 XT with the same processor. As is typical for Nixxes projects, the PC version will feature a host of exclusive features: support for 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios, unlimited FPS, DLSS 4, FSR 4, and XeSS 2 upscaling technologies, and Guerrilla Games' proprietary Pico upscaling engine, which is also used on consoles. It's worth noting that 21:9 mode is also promised for PS5 alongside the PC release.
